Vision & Mission

To catalyze a dignified living with justice and human rights for rural poor

NAMCO envisions a society where poor people are able to lead a dignified life through beholding justice and human rights. This essentially means that they have access to basic services and entitlements and their rights to livelihoods are protected. They are also free from any form of violence and exploitation.

Mission:

To create an enabling environment for protecting child rights, ensuring sustainable livelihood and to promote education, health and women empowerment for marginalized communities.

  • NAMCO has been helping its impact population to fight poverty through a five-pillared approach that includes health & compassion, care and support, education, livelihoods, environment and disaster response and management. These programs have a holistic impact on its communities addressing both the causes and effects of poverty.
  • NAMCO enables empowerment of poor and the marginalized women for their social and economic well-being, facilitated and achieved through collectivising them into SHGs and FPOs.
  • NAMCO is cognizant of the fact that it takes enormous efforts to bring sustainable positive changes. Through a series of short-term projects, NAMCO is able to stay relevant and be connected to the ultimate goal of socio-economic empowerment of the target communities.

Core Values:

  • Bottom up approach – NAMCO has always believed in people’s ability to understand their problems and finding appropriate solutions. NAMCO facilitates peoples’ participation for planning and implementation.
  • Team building – Staff members are an important asset for an organization. They are the ones who help in upholding the values and culture of the organization. NAMCO is keen in investing on them in building their capabilities and developing a performing team.
  • Child rights protection – Children form the core of NAMCO’s development interventions. Their rights are of prime importance. There is zero tolerance for any action that harm the protection of child rights in any form.
  • Collaboration – NAMCO lays thrust in working with all stakeholders and forging alliances that bring synergy to its programs. Working together with multiple actors such as Government, communities, NGOs and private sector etc. can help in optimizing resources and in achieving desired outcomes.

Self-reliance – All development interventions must lead to building self-reliance of the impact communities. NAMCO has always focused on building people’s institutions such as SHGs, JLGs, SHG Federations and FPOs etc. and nurturing them for sustainable actions
