Climate Change Adaptation Projects:

The impact of climate change has a greater bearing on the livelihoods of the poor people. NAMCO has been implementing a number of projects that are closely linked to its livelihoods and environmental programs. They include water conservation projects, tree planting, training on organic farming, vermin-compost production, introduction of solar home lighting solutions etc.

Presently NAMCO is implementing a project in partnership with GIZ, India on introduction of Decentralized Renewable Energy (DRE) appliances for livelihoods. The focus is largely on solar energy based applications in sectors such as agriculture, small scale dairying, fisheries, and salt production and non-farm enterprises.
