Education

Poverty manifests into multiple disadvantages for the poor making them poorer and more vulnerable in due course. It is an often a vicious circle for the poor. NAMCO has witnessed a number of families where children are not able to continue their school education because of their poverty. They become drop outs and end up helping their families earn additional incomes by getting into some exploitative wage employment arrangements. They become cases of child labour. NAMCO would like to help such children continue their studies and have chances of gaining better employment opportunities as they grow up.

The cost of enabling a child to continue his / her studies will vary dependent on the age and class of study of the child. This support will cover the cost of uniforms, bag, note books and other accessories.

NAMCO is of the view that the average cost can be around Rs. 8000/- per child per annum.

NAMCO will share the profile of the child your contribution has enabled him / her to avoid being a drop out and emerge as a successful student.
