The objective is to enable them secure better livelihood opportunities within farm and non-farm sectors and helping them avoid distress migration to urban centres. The rural poor women can enhance their household incomes through supplementary incomes in addition to their daily wage incomes. Skilling may also provide opportunities for the women to set up micro enterprises and enable them move up from wage employment to self-employment and entrepreneurship value chain.
