NAMCO is driven by its mission and core purpose of its existence. Therefore, it focuses all its efforts towards the communities it aims at serving. Awards and recognitions are the by-products of its commitment, passion and perseverance towards fulfilling its objectives. They serve as a source of motivation for the staff and management that they are in the right direction of their journey towards their mission. They give them the energy and drive them further towards excellence in their pursuits of fighting poverty and vulnerabilities of poor and marginalized communities. In the course of its long journey of three decades of community development services, NAMCO is happy to share some of the recent awards and recognitions that came its way.
The Election Commission of Tamil Nadu presents the ‘Best NGO’ award for promotion of awareness to rural people on voter rights and participation. The award was presented by the Chief Election Commissoner of TN, Mr. Sathyapraha Sahu.
NAMCO received the ‘Certificate of Appreciation from the ‘Tamil Nadu Alliance’, a network working for the welfare of workers in the textile sector.
TdH Netherlands and Children of India Foundation recognized the untiring work of NAMCO for providing relief support to rural poor families during the Covid19 pandemic.
Nehru Yuva Kendra, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India conferred the ‘Best Performer’ award to NAMCO for its exemplary work in skilling youth.
Rotary Club of Maruthur, Vedaranyam, Nagapattinam district presented the ‘NGO of the Year’ award to NAMCO for its outstanding contribution towards development of women from poor and marginalized families.
NAMCO received the ‘Certificate of Excellence’ for its outstanding performance in SHG formation in the district of Nagapattinam under the ‘Mahalir Thittam’ program of the Tamil Nadu Corporation for Development of Women. The District Collector gave away the award
AIMS India Foundation, USA recognized the relentless efforts of NAMCO in extending relief support to the flood victims in Cuddalore district in 2015. It offered the certificate of appreciation to NAMCO.
