AN APPEAL FOR THE INMATES OF HOMEs FOR SENIOR CITIIZENS & DESTITUTE CHILDREN

Dear Sir/Madam,

            NAMCO is a registered nonprofit voluntary organization working for the welfare of the Women, Children and the Elders since 1992. It has a clean track record and implementing varieties of programs with support of Government and private donors since the inception 1992.

NAMCO runs two homes, one is an integrated home for 25 elders and 25 destitute children  at 46, Sattaiyappar West Street, Nagapattinam town and another one is  for 25 elders Keezhaiyur near Velankanni with Government’s grant. So, totally, 50 elders and 25 destitute children are in two homes under NAMCO

Inmates are having all basic facilities in the homes like three times food, Health check up, Recreational facilities, clothes with shelter are being provided.  The Project is Government private partnership programme. 25% of the project cost is to be developed from the public.

The following items are required to the homes now for the children and the elders.

  1. Children are studying in four schools in the town. It is one to two kilometers distance from the home. So, we need an Auto or any kind of four wheeler (used also accepted) to take the children to the schools and back to home. In the emergency time, it will be used to go to the hospitals too for the children and elders.
  2. To develop the children’s vocational skills, we need two computers and 5 Sewing machines. It will help them to train a skill in their leisure time. When they complete their age (18) and education in the home, they have to go out from our home. At this time, they have to face the life. If they have been trained a skill, they can at least earn something for their livelihood, or it will be an additional income for their life.
  3. A part time teacher for the evening coaching for 25 children. Her salary will be Rs.24, 000 per year.
  4. Six set of wooden Desk for dining hall @ Rs. 7,000 each set
  5. 75 single bed for their cot @ Rs 1000 each
  6. One color Television set
  7. 10 Nos. of wooden single Cot to replace the damaged @ Rs.4000
  8. One Ups
  9. A Home size Water Purifier

All needs cannot be supported by a single person. The donor can support for any one or even one part of the needs.  We hope, you will think generous in this matter and call us for submitting further details. We will be thankful to you and your firm forever. NAMCO has been registered under Income Tax Act and so, we will submit the 80 G exemption official receipt with complete report in time to the Donor. We most  welcome your representative to visit the homes.
